Our story begins with a deep fascination with traditional Chinese silk weaving. As we explored magnificent cultural heritage pieces like Shu Brocade, Song Brocade, and Yun Brocade, we were both amazed by their unparalleled exquisiteness and heartbroken by their increasing estrangement from modern wardrobes.
We discovered that the market was filled with either expensive, inaccessible collectibles or fast-moving consumer goods that sacrificed quality and cultural heritage. True silks that combined exceptional quality, cultural soul, and modern design were few and far between.
Thus, SilkYue was born. We have a mission: to bring these intangible cultural heritage embroideries, once reserved for the imperial court and the culmination of countless artisans' labor, out of museum displays and into the lives of modern people in an elegant and effortless way.
